Changes at NYFW

NYFW is in the process of change and great independent designers are being discovered. One of the shows that I had the pleasure of attending and going back stage was Ika Ika: Finding Me by designer Dominique Bones-Lark

The collection marked the designers return to NYFW after a break from the NYFW scene. His return was triumphant as he unveiled his collection to an adoring crowd and an abundance of applause. This line was inspired by Bones-Lark's love of history and precise tailoring. Bright colors popped against the beautiful dewy glow each model had, as makeup artists tailored individual looks to fit each models' individual personality, while still creating a harmonized look of jewel tones and smoky eyes. Fashionistas can expect opulent and vivid greens and blues from this collection, along with belly baring, daring tops and evening gowns. Let's not forget about the expertly designed vests that appeared to float around each models body.

Those who love bohemian chic and free flowing clothing need not despair, as the seasons digs showcased plenty of harem pants and lightweight easily wearable finds. This Spring summer line is perfect for everything from fun in the sun to shopping. As a matter of fact every piece can easily transition the wearer from daytime diva to night time socialite. Stay tuned to Dominique Bones-Lark, he's definitely one to watch!
