“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” It’s also the most stressful time of the year. Between the regular work life balance, struggle and holiday parties, family obligations, shopping, cooking, and anything else you’d like and have to do, it can feel like you are stretched thin during the holidays. You heard us. This may seem counterintuitive and you might be asking, “When the heck am I supposed to get time for a nap?” Right now, actually. Now is the perfect time. If you are asking when on earth is Carmen San Diego are you gonna get a nap, that means you really need one. Right. Now.
‘Tis the season to be jolly. ‘Tis also the season for sugar laden sweets. It is officially the holiday time of year and you know what that means… cookies, and cakes, and pies, oh my! Everywhere you look there is something that either looks or sounds like it would be oh so great to your taste buds. But beware! Most of the holiday confections are not great for you.
This year I decided to make something that would make my mouth sing but that I wouldn’t have to worry about my blood sugar levels going sky high, nor going off my eating well path, and that would be quick and easy to make. My creation is called mixed berry purses! Believe me when I tell you that these taste every bit as delicious
It occurred to me as I was compiling my outfit of the day post, that there is always so much emphasis on the start of the year. We discuss making it a great start, what tools we need to do so, and basically making sure we start the new year with a bang. But what about ending the year strongly?
At the end of the year we tend to just be glad that it’s ending. Lol! More often than not we start to think about the holidays and all the hustle and bustle they bring and get plain old exhausted! We tend to forget that it doesn’t have to be that way. The holiday season can actually be a time of joy and comfort.
