Philanthropy Instills Hope
“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.” -Barack Obama
What does this profound quote by Barack Obama say to you? How does it make you feel? For me, this quote pushes me to strive to make a difference in this world. That’s why philanthropy is so important: it instills hope! Giving back can shift from complaining to actually feeling like you are making a way for good things to happen, and to just be. Giving creates an essence of fulfillment, not only for those being given to, but for the giver.
